Chamber Building
Chamber business and organization members are able to use our newly renovated building on Main Street for meetings, work sessions, pop-up shops, etc. once a month free of charge. For subsequent uses within a month, there is a fee of $50/time. Individual members may use the space once per quarter. Simply contact us with your date and how you’ll be using the space and we will check the availability of the building.
Ribbon Cuttings
A Ribbon Cutting is a great way to celebrate a significant milestone in the life of a business. Whether it is a grand opening, new ownership, expansion, or remodel, each is a unique opportunity to share your story! The Chamber will help to promote your event, and we will bring a ribbon and large scissors for maximum visibility. We encourage businesses to plan special sales, refreshments, etc. to offer following the ribbon cutting — make it a celebration! Ads Placed by the Chamber / Special Advertising Opportunities & Rates
The Chamber will post ads, pitch stories, and secure placement in various tourism materials as the opportunity arises. We will seek opportunities for discounted advertising in local newspapers and radio with the goal of passing along the savings to you -- our member. As ad opportunities are explored, we will take into consideration what member businesses are relevant to that season/event/topic. We always welcome ideas for promotion and collaboration. Please get in touch with us with your ideas and we will work together to make it the most beneficial for as many members as possible.
Promoting Your Events
The Chamber will share your promotional/special events on Facebook. This may include sales or special events. We do our best to share your event/special as we see them. To make sure we don’t miss something you want us to share, please send us an email: springgroveareachamber@gmail.com and let us know about your event/special.
Shop / Do Business Locally
The Chamber coordinates and promotes events that draw visitors and encourages citizens to shop and do business locally. These may include City Wide Garage Sales, the promotion of Shop Small Saturday, holiday happenings, and special events such as those that involve punch cards for various business stops.
Window Cling
Each member receives a Chamber Member window cling which you can display at your storefront location. Chamber membership shows an investment of your business in the Spring Grove community!
Business Anniversaries
Are you celebrating a significant business anniversary (5 years, 10 years, 15 years, etc.)? Congratulations! This is definitely something to celebrate and share! Please let us know in advance of your celebration so that we may help spread the word and help you celebrate! We are happy to help spread the word for any number anniversary and will do something a little extra special for those significant years.
Job Postings
Send us your job openings (about 30 words long) and we will help spread the word by including it in our semi-monthly e-news to Chamber members. We will also post it on our website for 30 days. If you have a Facebook post regarding your job openings, please let us know so that we can share it.
Music & Market
Music & Market provides opportunities to support local producers and enjoy food and live music from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesdays during May through September. Businesses are encouraged to stay open later on Wednesdays and perhaps offer specials to draw people in to shop while they are out-and-about at Music & Market. The Chamber provides an opportunity for members to have a booth at Music & Market. This is an excellent opportunity to talk to community members and share information about your business, keeping your name and service fresh in their minds. You may have prize drawings or promotional give-away items in addition to distributing business information (no sales allowed).

Chamber Bucks
Chamber Bucks are monetary checks issued by the Spring Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and are available in increments of $5, $25, $50, and $100. They are redeemable at any Spring Grove area business that accepts checks. People simply present their Chamber Bucks when they pay. As a business accepting Chamber Bucks’ checks, simply accept them like regular checks and deposit them into your bank account. Laminated “Chamber Bucks Accepted Here” signs are available for your storefront. Chamber Bucks expire 12 months after issuance.

Visitor Center
The Chamber’s Visitor Center is open during peak times of visitors in the city, such as Syttende Mai, UffDa Fest, and Brunch & Be Merry. Members are encouraged to have promotional materials in the Visitor Center that can be handed out to those stopping in to learn more about the city. Promotional materials could include a pamphlet or flyer about the business, sample items, etc. Any materials that would be useful to our volunteer staff to be knowledgeable about your business, location, and hours is also welcome. Please email if you have items for us to display at the Visitor Center.

Billboard Advertising
The Chamber has a billboard on Hwy, 44 on the west entrance to Spring Grove. We have secured special 2024 pricing for Chamber members. For a 12-week billboard run, the cost is $1,027 . To do this same run on your own, the cost would be $1,440. That’s a savings of more than $400!

Max of 1 billboard per 2 years, unless otherwise available. Artwork is due to Lamar one month prior to billboard date. More details will be given upon securing your billboard run date.

Chamber Bags
Cloth bags with our Chamber logo emblazoned on them are given out as a welcome gift to new residents of Spring Grove. The welcome bags contain promotional materials and/or small giveaway items from Chamber members as well as information on the Spring Grove community. To have your promotional/giveaway item/materials included in these bags, please email us or take the items to Jana at City Hall. Quantity needed: 50-100.
